Overview & Use Cases

Able Hardware delivers custom metal fabrication with automatic/robotic welding and CNC machining for OEM/ODM buyers who need repeatable quality at scale. We build to drawing across welded steel frames, trolley/utility carts, e prodotti in filo (scaffalature, cestini, guards), then finish and package for export. Typical build envelopes range from 400×300×200 mm up to 2000×1200×900 mm; load capacity is engineered per profile, wall thickness, and joint design. Explore our welding capability.

Why this solution for demanding environments

Automatic welding provides consistent bead geometry, lower variability, and high takt, making it ideal for equipment bases, carts in 24/7 material-handling, and rigid wire assemblies. With fit-for-purpose materials, weld class, and coating (per ISO 12944), your assemblies withstand vibration, impatto, and weathering while maintaining alignment.

  • Robotics & automation: robot bases, risers, cells, fixture frames
  • Magazzino & logistics: platform trucks, order-picking carts, wire shelving and racks
  • HVAC/Electrical: support frames, wire cable trays/guards, enclosures

Finishes & protezione dalla corrosione (ISO 12944/ISO 8501)

  • Powder coat (RAL) 70–100 μm, zinc plating, e-coat, o industrial paint.
  • Surface prep per ISO 8501 (per esempio., Sa 2½ blasting); system selection per ISO 12944 environment categories. Masking available for grounds/datum pads; coating DFT verified per ISO 2808.

Manufacturing Options

Automatic/robotic MIG (and TIG if specified), maschere & fixtures, repeatability

  • Automatic/robotic MIG is our default for carbon steel—stable arc, low spatter, e batch-to-batch repeatability.
  • Tig applied for stainless or visible joints requiring high cosmetics and controlled heat input.
  • Custom jigs & fixtures designed to your datum scheme; documented weld sequences limit distortion and ensure consistent geometry. Learn more about automatic welding .

Secondary ops: laser cutting, piegarsi, lavorazione; coating & confezione

  • Taglio laser & Lavorazione CNC: plate blanks, slotted holes, tapped inserts, milled datums, counterbores.
  • Bending/forming: parentesi, gussets, channels; wire forming for shelving/baskets per pitch and edge radius.
  • Coating: in-house powder coat or partner zinc/e-coat/paint. Learn more about trattamento della superficie.
  • Export packaging: pallet or crate with protective wrap, corner guards, and labels; typical 4–8 pcs/pallet based on size and finish protection.

Types & Geometry

Common forms (machine base/skid frames, box/tube frames, trolley/utility carts) & sizing bands

  • Machine base & skid frames: heavy RHS/plate; leveling pads; machined datum faces; typical 800×600×500 to 2000×1200×900 mm.
  • Box/tube equipment frames: SHS/RHS structures with mounting plates, brackets for panels/sensors/cable trays.
  • Trolley/utility carts: platform trucks, order-picking carts, stainless service carts, low-profile dollies; caster packages sized by wheel Ø, Materiale, bearing, e load/caster.
  • Wire products: scaffalature, cestini, guards, welded wire grids with specified wire Ø, pitch, edge returns, and mounting tabs. All projects are to drawing (PDF/DWG/STEP); we can recommend profile sets, weld classes, caster packages, and wire specs to meet load and tolerance targets. Qualità & Test

What we verify (VT, DFT, dimensional checks; optional PT/MT/RT) and documentation (WPS/PQR, CoC)

  • Visual inspection (VT) 100% per ISO 5817 acceptance levels (continuity, undercut, overlap, spatter removal).
  • Dimensional verification to drawing GD&T and ISO 13920/ISO 2768; CMM/height-gauge checks on critical datums and mounting planes.
  • Coating QC: DFT per ISO 2808, RAL color match; adhesion tests on request.
  • Optional NDT: PT/MT/RT for critical welds as specified.
  • Documentazione: WPS/PQR (when contracted), inspection reports, Certificate of Conformance, packing lists with traceability.

Prezzi & Tempi di consegna

Moq, sample policy, indicative cost drivers (no hard prices)

  • Moq depends on size, fixture investment, wire pitch/tooling, caster package complexity, and coating batch size; pilot builds available for fit and function.
  • Lead time varies by drawing complexity, weld class, machining and coating queues, and logistics lane.
  • Primary cost drivers: material grade & spessore, weld length & ISO 5817 classe, number of machining features, wire Ø and grid pitch, coating system (RAL changes), packaging method, and shipment mode. Provide annual volume and release cadence to optimize fixture amortization.

FAQ

Q1: Which materials do you support for frames, carrelli, and wire products?

Q235/S235 e Q355/S355 carbon steels are standard; we also fabricate in 304/316 inossidabile for corrosion or hygiene and 6061/6082 alluminio when weight matters.

Q2: What weld quality and tolerances can you meet?

Welds to ISO 5817 class C (o B for critical/visible joints). Dimensions per ISO 13920 B/C e ISO 2768 m/f; with proper fixturing we target flatness ≤1.0–2.0 mm e squareness ≤1.5 mm/m where design allows.

Q3: Can you machine mounting faces and integrate threaded inserts?

Yes—laser cutting and Lavorazione CNC add slots, tapped holes, counterbores, and milled datum pads to ensure drop-in assembly.

Q4: Do you supply casters and finishing for carts?

Yes—caster packages are sized by wheel Ø/material/bearing/load; finishes include powder coat (70–100 μm), zinco, e-coat, o industrial paint.

Q5: How can we speed up quotation?

Share PDF/DWG/STEP, material grade, tube/wire sizes, weld class (ISO 5817), tolerance targets (ISO 13920/2768), finish (RAL), quantità, destination, and any NDT/QA requirements.

Q6: What packaging do you use for export?

Pallets or crates with protective wrap and labels; typical 4–8 pcs/pallet, optimized for container loading and finish protection.

Q7: Do you build jigs/fixtures for repeat orders?

Yes—custom jigs & fixtures ensure repeatability and reduce unit cost across scheduled releases.
